The minimally invasive Trevo® Retriever is now indicated to treat ischemic stroke patients up to 24 hours--the only minimally invasive treatment option for patients arriving at the hospital more than 6 hours after their stroke started.*
"Removing clot within a large artery in the brain, might mean the difference between severe disability or the ability to walk, talk and live independently again after treatment for stroke patients. The fact that we can now extend the treatment window for selected patients up to 24 hours after onset of stroke, will dramatically impact the lives of thousands of stroke victims and their families."

When a person has a stroke, the most important thing to tell the EMT or doctor is the time when the stroke symptoms started or the last time you saw the person acting normally. A new 24-hour treatment window gives patients whose stroke started between 6 and 24 hours earlier a treatment option that did not previously exist.
Nearly 1 in every 2 patients treated with the Trevo Retriever could return to living independently with little to no disability 90 days after their stroke.1
